Overview
My name is Don Graff and I am running for reelection to the Bedford School Board. The Bedford school system has a long history of providing a high quality education at a reasonable cost. I am running for reelection because I believe that, despite many challenges, the district can and should continue this tradition. If I am fortunate enough to be reelected, my efforts will continue to focus on balancing the needs of our constituents – our taxpayers who expect us to keep our spending reasonable, our employees who deserve competitive pay and benefits, and our students for whom we have an obligation to provide a quality education.
My Pledge
When I first ran for the school board three years ago I made four promises. Whether or not you agree with every position that I’ve taken while on the board, I have honored the commitment I made three years ago, and I renew my pledge as follows:
1) I promise to approach every issue with an open mind.
2) I promise to listen to and consider alternative points of view.
3) I promise to remain independent – I will not be beholden to any special interest or constituency
4) I promise to approach issues objectively and rationally, balancing the interests of students, employees, and tax payers
